Citizens Television is supported by our cable subscribers at an annual rate of $8.01. That comes to 67 cents per month, and it pays for most things at CTV and keeps us operating from year to year.

But as Comcast loses more and more people to satellite, our income shrinks and allows us to do fewer and fewer community events - like school plays and athletics, parades and fireworks, important local events of our non-profit agencies, and local town and city meetings on important issues. We have recently had to close on Fridays to save on our increased energy costs.

CTV is about building our community through media. Nothing troubles us more than when we get a call from a community member asking us to cover their event and we can't because we do not have the staff or available equipment.

Yet, if only 10% of our 60,000 cable subscribers became Supporting Members of CTV, all of that could change. You could see more programming about your community: your schools, your elected officials, your helping services organizations, parades, fireworks, more local arts and music programs.
